I came across this problem. Connected modbus RTU to COM1. The connection drops out periodically. But then it recovers. What could be the problem?

What settings can cause such problems?

Is it possible to view the bytes coming to the bus? How can you check which bytes are leaving?

hello you need to have a serial sniffer.
i’ve repurposed an old rPI2b for it.

another way would be to use a USB to RS adapter and a Windows / Linux PC …

Through the MOXA adapter the SLAVE device works perfectly. The problem is only when Wago is the Master and polls the Slave.
I wanted to see what bytes come in the request, but I understand that such a function is not provided?
