# Is 750-8000 the direct replacement for 750-891

Is 750-891 going to phase out soon ? and 750-8000 is the direct replacement ?

The 750-891 uses Codesys 2.3, and the 750-8000 uses Codesys 3.5.

750-891 cannot work with Codesys 3.5?  
In term of function, 750-891 can be replaced by 750-8000?

Hello Michael, indeed the WAGO 0750-08xx are only usable with codesys 2.3 and WAGO 0750-8xxx are made to be used with codesys 3.5 (PFC 100/200 GEN1 aren’t compatible codesys 3.5 but e!Cockpit only).

As a functionality, the 750-800x (750-8000 and 750-8001) can replace a 750-890, 750-891 and 750-893.

So the best for you would be to contact your WAGO rep and see with them what fit better with your needs.
