Hi,

I’m trying to connect to a WAGO 750-8212 using the WAGO DALI Configurator software. I know the controller’s IP address and I can ping it from my PC without any issues. But when I try to connect through the DALI Configurator, I keep getting the message: _“The service ‘I/O check’ might be blocked and must be enabled via the WBM.”_

I can see in the WBM that this service is already enabled. I even turned off my PC’s firewall just in case, but the problem persists.

Any idea what could be causing this?

It’s because your PLC program is running.
Try to stop your program, you should be able to use DALI Configurator.
There can not be concurrent access to the DALI module.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried again after stopping the controller, but I’m still seeing the same error. Could there be another cause? I’ve also attached a photo of my setup in case the issue is related to the hardware.

Does WAGO Ethernet Settings or WAGO I/O Check works ?
Is your firewall enabled (in the PLC) ?
Check that port 6626 is available.

Are you using Codesys 2.3 ?

Thanks, it turned out the issue was just the firewall being enabled on the PLC.

Now I’m running into another problem: I can’t seem to find a DALI-2 input device in the DALI Configurator tool. Do I need to do something specific to get it detected?

what dali-2 input device are your using ?
the DALI E-LED is lit green which mean the module have found devices in the DALI network.

The DALI multimaster E-LED is showing solid green in my setup, and it was able to detect some of the control gear I have. The DALI-2 input device I’m using is a Helvar 146BD2.

Do I need a different tool than the DALI Configurator to map a button to recall a scene?

At last you only need the DALI library in your program, a call to the webvisu, call the dali configuration prg and use the master FB, button FB and scene FB.
