# Samba on Edge controler

Hello everyone,  
Has anyone ever tried to install a samba/smb package on a FW28 edge controller?  
I’m going to need this feature.  
Do you know where I can find the ipk package for smb?

You might want to consider using a docker container with samba. Something like this. [https://hub.docker.com/r/dockurr/samba](https://hub.docker.com/r/dockurr/samba)

I had thought about a docker container, but I wanted to know first if an internal service could exist like FTP, OPCUA, DNS, …  
I’ll test it with a container
