I want to assign different IP addresses to ports X1 and X2. I’ve run into a situation where I’m assigning different IP ranges, such as 10.10.10.20/24, 10.10.10.1, and 10.20.10.40/24, 10.20.10.1.
When I connect to X1, I have a connection and everything is stable, but if I plug the cable into X1, the connection to X2 is lost. When I unplug the X1 cable, the connection comes back. Who has encountered this problem? What are the limitations of this mode?

The separated ports have to be on different subnets. It looks like you may be doing that, but it isn’t clear. If X1 is on 10.10.10.x, then X2 has to be on 10.20.10.x. They cannot both be on 10.10.10.x or both on 10.20.10.x. Is that the case?

Of course, the subnets are different. It does not allow the use of identical subnets.

I have the following settings.

I can ping both ports and connect to the wbm on both ports. My NIC1 is 10.10.10.1 and 255.255.255.0. My NIC2 is 10.20.10.1 and 255.255.255.0.

PLC 750-8212 WF31
It’s strange that it works for you, my connection to one of the ports keeps dropping. I want to try again right now.

It turned out to be simpler than I thought—it was all about the ports on the PC. I thought the problem was with the hardware, but it turned out to be with the gateway. Wago is operating at full capacity!
