Hello everybody,

I have a configuration with a PFC300 and a WP400.

I need to enable user/password management to prevent unauthorized PLC downloads.

At the same time, I have enabled the following setting in the CODESYS configuration:

CmpWebServerHandlerV3

AllowFileTransferServices=1

because I need to download some files from the PLC through a WebVisu client.

When this setting is enabled, the client is prompted for login credentials at startup.

Is it possible to remove this login request while still keeping user management enabled to prevent unauthorized PLC access?

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Regards,

Hello,

I am using the latest firmware version (FW31).

The system stops working properly when I add

`AllowFileTransferServices=1`.

Do you have any idea what could be causing this issue?

Thanks.

I added the following configuration:
CmpWebServerHandlerV3
AllowFileTransferServices=1
to:
/etc/codesys3.d/RtsCore.cfg
/etc/codesys3.d/CmpWSServer
/etc/codesys3.d/CODESYSControl\_User

I found this information in the discussion _“Saving / exporting file from web visualization (webvisu)”_ and the file export is now working correctly.
Regards

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this issue?
File transfer works properly, but when I start the web visualization, a user login pop-up appears.
I would like to remove the login request while keeping password protection for PLC modifications.
Any suggestions?
Regards,

hello,
I think this happen because of the file transfer system.
Since you are using a direct transfer system without a possible check on the file content, a login is needed.
Another thing you could do is: if the file is not big, use the streaming method instead.
There is 2 method to do a file transfert from the webvisu. one is using file access from the webvisu, the other is using codesys program to stream the file.
