First steps in Node-Red

I am new to Node Red but want to develop this product and make programs on it. I’m reading articles and I’m confused. Can you tell me where I should start? I have a PFC200 (FW28).
Can someone give me some pointers on the first steps?

I have a few questions.

  1. will I be able to work in codesys and node-red at the same time?
  2. How to pass variables from codesys to node-red and vice versa?
  3. Can you open streaming video in node-red ?

To install node-red later in the controller settings, do I need to check this box?

Tomas,

  1. Yes you can run both, but this would depend on what controller you’re using and the processing power of the unit. Additionally, you can only have one master of the KBUS IO so just note that only one program will run IO commands.

Yes Docker needs to be installed to run node-red.
