WAGO PFC 200 8214 . error after booting

hello guys

im facing a curious issue , recently i vas doing a routine inspection , i switched off the panel where the plc was installed and working fine for doing some can bus measurements of all systems inside the cabinet.

after switcn on again the cabinet , the wago plc never boot again stays in a strange sequence

all front leds stays in red for 10 seconds , then all goes off at the same time, then sys leds stays in red for two seconds then the cycle repeat.

i tried to link via ethernet , plc cant be recognized , i also tried to connect via wago usb cable using all available tools i had ( wago io check , wago ethernet settings and codesys ) but it was not possible to establish a connection with the device

lastly i used factory reset but the plc only have the CAN light on in green and nothing more if i restart the plc it will revert back to the state mentioned before

is there a way to recover the plc from this state

thanks for your support

You may need to reinstall the firmware via SD card. Use an SD card of 16GB or 8GB.

when SYS goes RED, you cant really do anything, because system failed to boot properly. This sequence is called “boot loop”.

If you switch reset and push reset button for ~10s you can perform “reset original”, but reset switch/button wont work in this state (because they need running system).

Is it possible that you boot system from now damaged SD card? Try to run PLC without it.
Did you measure incoming voltage? Try to disconnect modules and power on only PLC
Maybe there was some overvoltage on power-up?
Are there difficult environmental conditions?
