Diesel Engine Speed Magnetic Pickup

Good morning.
I will need some help please with codesys 2.3 and 750-890.
I have to display in real time on a hmi, diesel engine speed .
I would like to use same sensor than original internal speed regulation sensor (more easy for spare parts) who is a standard magnetic pickup.
I can fit one more to read main wheel tooth dedicated only for hmi.
I builded few years ago a complet monitoring system (tanks levels etc…) with 750-890 and want to use it with adding wago module for this speed reading
Is someone did this please?
Is it possible to use 750-404 for this or low speed will don’t give enough voltage?
Function bloc dedicated?
Thank you for your help
Best regards

Any documentation off the sensor ?
Knowing what data it send would be a good start.

thank you for answering.
It is a MSP6729
Manual says : The signal from magnetic speed sensor, teeth per second (hz), is directly proportional to engine speed.
Output signal: 0.5 to 30v rms (1v rms when cranking engine)
This confusing me.
Should I read volt? but in this case I don’t know how many volt by rpm.
Seems I need to read frequency (depend of tooth number, should be easy with calculate rpm) but low voltage output at low speed.
750-404 manual says +15v to +30v for (1) signal voltage.
This also use a clock for calculate frequency, not a direct reading (as I understand)
Thank you for your help.

You need a frequency converter since mag pickups produce a sine wave.
