Hello,
I have a configuration issue with my WAGO PFC300 PLC and 3 analog input modules. Here’s the problem:
Current Setup:
-
3 WAGO 750-455 modules (4AI 4-20mA SE)
-
Each module has 4 analog inputs (IW0 to IW13 total)
-
Only 1 input (IW4) is working and fluctuating (values 1100-1200)
-
All other inputs show constant value “3”
Issue Description:
I’m trying to read pressure differential values from 12 PumpMeter sensors (6 pumps × 2 pressure sensors each), but only one input is providing real data while the others display a default value of “3”.
Environment:
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Hi,
Value = 3 means current is below 3 mA or wire break.
Is the wiring correct?
What sensors do you have exactly? Are these loop powered sensors or do they source the current?
Variables will only be updated if they are used.
SP21 Patch 1 is for Firmware 29, currently it is only available for the PFC 200s.
Hi,
Yes, I found that value 3 is a diagnostic error. Actually, I don’t know if the wiring is correct. I have a remote connection to the WAGO through VPN and I’m in contact with the staff that installed the hardware, and they tell me everything is wired.
But why do I have one value (IW4) working and others not working? If one entry is detected and others are not, that means there is probably a problem with the wiring, right?
I’m using KSB PumpMeters (pump monitoring devices) with 4-20 mA output to measure differential pressure. Each PumpMeter has 2 integrated pressure sensors and outputs the differential pressure signal.
Do you think the problem is the version of my Codesys? My PFC300 uses firmware 28.
Maybe they can check when they connect the wires from the working channel to another channel.
3 → 1, 5, 7
4 → 2, 6 , 8
Additionally they can put a milliamp meter in the loop to check the current signal. There should be at least 4 mA.
Hi Thruser,
I will check this path, thank you
