I’m trying to connect to a WAGO 750-8212 using the WAGO DALI Configurator software. I know the controller’s IP address and I can ping it from my PC without any issues. But when I try to connect through the DALI Configurator, I keep getting the message: “The service ‘I/O check’ might be blocked and must be enabled via the WBM.”
I can see in the WBM that this service is already enabled. I even turned off my PC’s firewall just in case, but the problem persists.
It’s because your PLC program is running.
Try to stop your program, you should be able to use DALI Configurator.
There can not be concurrent access to the DALI module.
I tried again after stopping the controller, but I’m still seeing the same error. Could there be another cause? I’ve also attached a photo of my setup in case the issue is related to the hardware.
Thanks, it turned out the issue was just the firewall being enabled on the PLC.
Now I’m running into another problem: I can’t seem to find a DALI-2 input device in the DALI Configurator tool. Do I need to do something specific to get it detected?
The DALI multimaster E-LED is showing solid green in my setup, and it was able to detect some of the control gear I have. The DALI-2 input device I’m using is a Helvar 146BD2.
Do I need a different tool than the DALI Configurator to map a button to recall a scene?
