Hi all,
I joined the forum minutes ago to ask the following question (please excuse me for bad form or if it has already been asked before, I haven’t had the time yet to browse the forum).
I can log in to my WAGO 750-8212, and I managed to get a webserver running - after I enabled it from the WAGO’s settings menu. Just a few lines of code to get some lifesigns, and this works fine.
But then I couldn’t switch the webserver off ?!
Everytime I entered the WAGO’s IP-address, I was directly sent to the Webvisu.
I couldn’t reach the root anymore to adjust the settings.
There is a second variable, and that’s Google Chrome, with which I tested the webserver.
Google Chrome has the nasty habbit of autocompleting URL’s, and I can’t get this function switched off somehow. Everytime I typed in the root IP and hit enter, Chrome would add “https://…/Webvisu/Webvisu” .
I tried it in Edge, and it acted the same way (couldn’t reach the root IP, directly sent to Webvisu).
So now I don’t know if my problem is caused by Google/Edge not letting me just go to the root IP, or if it’s the WAGO that takes all incoming traffic to the Webvisu (once this is enabled).
Is there a way to get to the settings BESIDES using the root IP ?
Am I missing some way of getting into the settings ?
Is it totally a Browser Autocomplete issue ?
(I eventually did a hard reset, so I can log in to the settings with the default root IP again, but I can’t imagine this is the normal way to do it everytime you want to check a setting)
Thanks,
Joris
