Hi, I tried to update my PLC to the version that was on " WAGO Download Center ". I tried both loading it directly via WBM and SD, but neither of the two options lets me perform the update. I’m not sure if it’s not compatible or if I need to do an intermediate update first. I would appreciate it if you could help me.

Notes on Performing the Update via Memory Card
- Delete the contents of the card permanently (securely) using a partition manager, computer management or the Windows program Diskpart (clean all).
- The image is written to the WAGO SD card using “Win32DiskImager”: Win32 Disk Imager download | SourceForge.net
- Start the device with the inserted memory card
- Set static IP address via “WAGO Ethernet Settings”
- Since the WebBasedManagement (WBM) has changed, please delete the browser cache and restart the browser.
- Use the “WebBasedManagement / Configuration” to perform the following steps:
- go to “Administration / Create Image”
- select “Create bootable image from active partition (memory card)”
- press “Start Copy”
- After the content of the memory card has been copied successfully, switch off the device and remove memory card.
Alternatively you could try via WAGO Upload tool
This firmware version needs WAGOupload v1.19.1 or higher

- Copy the update file with the extension “.wup” to a folder of your choice on your PC.
- Start WAGOupload
- Select “Update Firmware” menu item
- Select the target hardware whose firmware is to be updated
- Select the update file from your storage location
Yes, I did exactly that. The problem is that after inserting the SD card, it’s loading the firmware, but it won’t let me access WBM. I tried searching for it through the program in case the IP address changed; it recognizes some IP addresses, but it says “no Wago device.” Then I have to restart the PLC, and it goes back to normal, but it’s still not there. I tried using Wagoupload, and it said it wasn’t supported. I’ve attached both photos. Thanks for your replies.

When you use the SD card with the firmware, try and set the Run/Stop/Reset switch to the Stop position and then Press and Hold the RST Button for 8 seconds.
SYS LED should now blink orange, then try and see if you can located the controllers WBM with the full path as this https://192.168.1.17/wbm
