BC100 Online Change Issue

Hi there,

I just encountered a peculiar issue with a couple of BC100s. I have deployed 7 BC100 controllers with:

  • Firmware 4
  • CODESYS 64 3.5.21.10 Patch 1
  • WAGO Devices and Libraries 2.0.7.5
  • Installer is frozen

In the meantime, I tested some things on the new firmware of a CC100 and therefore installed the newest available CODESYS installer from the download center.

After that I experienced a Null Pointer error on the BC100.

When I start the Project I get the message:

I couldn’t commit online changes nor upload a complete project.

To be able to commit a hotfix for an issue, I updated all the libraries. After that, I could at least upload, but online changes no longer work. Now I get a different error that I cannot backtrace.

Error after library update

Since the installer is frozen I use Wago Devices and Libraries 2.0.7.5 and it uses WagoSysKbusTerminalControl_Internal_Common_1.1.1.0

As I said for CC100 I installed a new Codesys Version with WAGO Devices and Libraries 2.0.8.9 wich updates the WagoSysKbusTerminalControl_Internal_Common 1.1.1.1 → 1.2.0.0 according to the release notes.

To be able to commit a hot fix for an issue I updated all the Libraries. After that I could not

Now I must have messed up when I installed the newest WAGO Codesys Version. But how would it change the Add-Ons in the Background even though I froze the Installer?

What is the best Solution now?

Any Feedback is highly appreciated!
Cheers xxyzz

Hello,

What is the version of each codesys ?

For example for BC100 FW04 you should use Codesys 3.5.19.70
For CC100 FW28 also 3.5.19.70 should be used.
For CC100 FW30 the 3.5.21.30 should be used.
If you mix codesys version make sure that you don’t update the library used for the older version (internal library may have change too much and not be compatible with the FW anymore).

As a good rules If you can install codesys with the sandbox option (it is in the custom or advance installation option).
