CODESYS Installation (Working with previous FW versions)

Hello Community,

I recently created a fresh VM, and installed CODESYS SP19 Patch 2. I wanted to be able to use this installation with previous FW versions that are not included in the v2.0.4.2 (FW26) WAGO Device Description. After installing v2.0.4.2 I was unable to install previous Device Descriptions and saw this message in the CODESYS Installer:

" The packages which should be installed are already installed in the target installation"

In order to use this CODESYS installation with previous FW versions I completed these steps:

  1. CODESYS Installer - Uninstall Device Description v2.0.4.2
  2. CODESYS Installer - Install Device Description CODESYS v2.0.1.7
  3. CODESYS Installer - Install Device Description CODESYS v2.0.2.9 (Updates and adds to previous)
  4. CODESYS Installer - Install Device Description CODESYS v2.0.4.2 (Updates and adds to previous)

I can use previous firmware with this installation.
