Hello,
I am working on a project where there is a 750-8202 PFC200 PLC that is equipped with a 753-646 KNX master, this KNX master communicates with a KNX ETS6 project to control the lights in a building, among other things.
Previously, the PLC was programmed using e!COCKPIT. As this software is no longer supported, we are transfering all our Wago PLC programs to Codesys, but the project that I mentioned must be transfered to Codesys V2.3, as the PLC is not a 2nd generation and can’t run on Codesys V3.5.
Because of this, I’m trying to figure out how to configure the 753-646 KNX Master in ETS6 using the WAGO KNX DCA app by importing a sym_xml file into the ETS6 project. I can’t understand how to export a sym_xml file from codesys V2.3 and make the ETS6 program communicate with the plc program.
Do you have any ideas to make it work?
(Codesys V2.3.9.68 and ETS6.3.1 Build 8272 by the way,if that helps)
I tried to do it with the current e!COCKPIT project, as a test, and it worked in ETS6.
Did you try that on ETS6? Or do you have another suggestion?
By saying Codesys2.3 is discontinued by 3S itsel, do you think establishing a communication between a Codesys 2.3 program and a ETS6 program might not be possible?
Hi,
I took the time to look my issue with the WAGO Support team, and the problem was that I did not name the FbDPT_Switch and FbDPT_UpDown properly.
I renamed these FBs according to the syntax described in chapter 3.4 of the documentation attached to my answer, and importing the sym-xml file worked perfectly.
TL;DR: RTFM, name variables properly
